Pack Family Camping
When a boy and his family join Cub Scouting, they join an organization that values the fun and excitement of experiencing the outdoors. It is very important to our Pack's leadership that we provide our young scouts (and their families!) with enriching, positive outdoor activities. In addition to the camping opportunities provided by our local Sam Houston Area Council (Day CampResident Camp and Adventure Camp), family camping is a great opportunity to experience the outdoors like you may never have done before (or - if you're an experienced camper, it's a wonderful opportunity to share your knowledge and experience with others!).

As part of our annual Pack program (included in registration fees for all Scouts), we typically organize attendance at one Council weekend camping trip ("Adventure Camp") and also plan two Pack family camping trips to area state or national parks each year. These are always some of the most exciting parts of our Pack's annual program.

Once dates and reservations are determined, a camping committee (made up of parent volunteers) plans a program of activities as well as menus and logistics, and provides all the necessary information here on this page.

Upcoming trips:

October 6-8 2017
Adventure Camp at Bovay Scout Ranch

Adventure camp at Bovay is one of the highlights of Pack 354's annual program. Year after year, memories are made here for first-time campers and seasoned scouts alike. This is THE BEST first cub scout camping trip because all meals are prepared and served in a dining hall and activities are organized and facilitated. It's somewhere between camp, camping, and glamping.

October 6-8 2017
Webelos Woods at Camp Brosig

For Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts (4th and 5th graders) only, this is the boys' first opportunity to camp with the older Boy Scouts as they begin to prepare to "cross over" from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. It is a good chance to meet and learn about many different Boy Scout Troops. Register with den leaders (no online sign-up).

November 11 2017
